Reservation & Booking

Centre For Marine & Coastal Studies (CEMACS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) most welcome USM departments/government agencies/schools/NGOs/public to organize official programs/training/course/workshop/seminar/school event with our equipped facilities.

For reservation and booking, kindly check with our latest updated calendar for available slot. Please take note reservation & booking must be placed 2 weeks (14 days) before the arrival date. CEMACS will not process any application of reservation/booking submitted less then 2 weeks before arrival date.

No personal contact or phone call reservation is allowed to avoid any miscommunication & crash booking. Booking can only be done online.

A CONFIRMATION EMAIL will be sent within 3 working days with attached Official Quotation for payment process.

All rental rates were approved & fixed by USM management & not negotiableFull payment is required in order to confirm reservation.

  • For payment within USM Department/School/Center (USM ONLY), kindly issue the “Borang Transaksi Dalam USM” (Payment Account No.: 403.G.CHALET.432004) and submit to us via internal post-mail for verification a week (7 days) before the arrival date for booking confirmation. Address to:

  • For payment through CASH, kindly settle full payment at our USM Bursary Online ePayment System https://epayment.usm.my (select MAIN PAGE>SERVICES>PENGINAPAN>CEMACS) & FORWARD received email (Bursary USM :: Payment Acknowledgement) from ePayment USM Notification to Alamat emel ini dilindungi dari Spambot. (IMPORTANT REMINDER: (1) Always follow https://epayment.usm.my/ to access ePayment system; (2) Please ensure there is a PADLOCK ICON at the end of the taskbar; (3) Customers encouraged to go through the USER MANUAL carefully to avoid any confusion or disturbances during transaction; (4) To ensure the secure transactions, customers advice to TURN OFF POP-UP BLOCKER to allow pop-up windows for this payment site).    
No discount or refund is allowed if the actual number of check-in guest is less than the number registered during booking process. 
 
Cancellation or transferring a confirmed reservation must be made a week (7 days) before the arrival date. No refund will be given after this period.
 
The maximum capacity usage of 12 unit self-contained flatlets is 34 pax & 60 pax capacity for 5 unit dormitories. Reservation/booking exceeds any applicable limit will not be entertained due to safety & hygiene related issues.
 
Please take note that accommodation in CEMACS is located within the Penang National Park area & we do not provide any shower cap, towel, soap, toilet roll, shampoo and body shower gel as we love our natural environment. Please support us.
 
Please do not expect any hotel services during the stay in CEMACS as we are a research centre and not a star rated hotel. We’ll try our best to assist and fulfill your reasonable request(s) during your stay here.
 
Director of CEMACS reserves the right to approve or reject any reservation booking, change or cancellation request.
