CEMACS welcomes USM departments, government agencies, schools, NGOs and the public to organize official programmes, training, courses, workshops, seminars and school events at our facilities.

14 Days Booking must be submitted before arrival

Full Payment Required to confirm reservation

Important Booking Notice

  • Reservation must be submitted at least 14 days before arrival.
  • Applications submitted less than 14 days before arrival will not be processed.
  • Booking is accepted through online/email submission only.
  • No personal contact or phone call reservation is allowed to avoid miscommunication and double booking.

How to Book

  1. Check the latest availability calendar for available slots.
  2. Download and complete the CEMACS Accommodation & Facilities Booking Form.

    RESERVATION/BOOKING (DD/MM/YY – DD/MM/YY) (Your Organization)
  4. A confirmation email with official quotation will be sent within 3 working days.
  5. All rental rates were approved & fixed by USM management & not negotiable. Full payment is required in order to confirm reservation.

Please issue Borang Transaksi Dalam USM using Payment Account No. 403.G.CHALET.432004 and submit it via internal post-mail at least 7 days before arrival.

Purchase Order / Local Order

Private agencies must issue a Purchase Order (PO). Government agencies must issue a Local Order (LO) using Payment Account No. 403.G.CHALET.432004.

  • Submit the original customer copy during check-in.
Company Cheque

Company cheque is accepted. Personal cheque is not allowed.

Payment to be made to: Bendahari Universiti Sains Malaysia

  • Submit the original company cheque during check-in.

Booking Policy

  • All rental rates are approved and fixed by USM management.
  • Rates are not negotiable.
  • No discount or refund will be given if the actual number of guests is lower than the registered number.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation or transfer of confirmed reservation must be made at least 7 days before arrival.
  • No refund will be given after this period.

Eco-Friendly Reminder

  • CEMACS is located within Penang National Park.
  • To support environmental sustainability, toiletries are not provided.
  • Please bring your own towel, soap, shampoo, shower gel and toilet roll.

CEMACS is a research centre and not a star-rated hotel. We will try our best to assist and fulfil reasonable requests during your stay.

The Director of CEMACS reserves the right to approve or reject any reservation, booking, change or cancellation request.
